Our body armor has completed the rigorous testing and certification process to become certified by NIJ. This meets NIJ certification standards 0101.07. and is listed on their website stating this accomplishment. This is a NEW NIJ certification level for body armor as of July 2026.
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), a sub-agency to the Department of Justice (DOJ), is the research, development and evaluation agency under DOJ. NIJ is dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime and justice issues through innovative science. NIJ’s mission, vision, and values is to improve the justice system by using scientific research to understand and respond to crime.
NIJ was created in 1969 by the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act as the National Institute of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice with the purpose of monitoring and supporting federally funded criminal justice research to assist state and local governments to improve police, courts and corrections issues.
